Overview
The Publishing Ministries Department of the Malawi Union Conference of the Seventh-day Adventist Church is dedicated to sharing the everlasting gospel through the printed page and other literature-based resources. We believe that Christian literature is a powerful tool for evangelism, discipleship, and spiritual growth, enabling people to encounter the message of hope wherever they are.
Through literature evangelism, Student Literature Evangelism (SLE) programmes, and the distribution of missionary books and other publications, the department equips church members to become effective witnesses for Christ while strengthening their own faith through service
Mission Statement
The Publishing Ministries Department exists to proclaim the gospel of hope through print and literature ministries, inspiring individuals and communities to experience the transforming love of Jesus Christ and prepare for His soon return.
Our Aim
We seek to:
● Uplift and enrich people’s lives physically, socially, spiritually, and intellectually through Christ-centred literature.
● Encourage and equip every church member to share the good news of Jesus Christ and His soon second coming.
● Strengthen personal faith through the spiritual growth that comes from sharing the gospel with others.
● Promote literature evangelism as an effective ministry for reaching every home and community.
Goals
The department is committed to:
● Re-educating church members on the importance and effectiveness of literature evangelism.
● Establishing and strengthening Student Literature Evangelism (SLE) programmes throughout the Union.
● Developing future leaders for the Publishing Ministries.
● Expanding the ministry’s digital presence and adopting innovative marketing and distribution strategies.
● Encouraging the active involvement of every church member in literature evangelism.
● Strengthening the Seventh-day Adventist publishing ministry and its publishing institutions.
● Promoting the production, distribution, and reading of the Spirit of Prophecy books and other Adventist literature.
Missionary Book of the Year – 2026
The Missionary Book of the Year for 2026 will be featured here to encourage every church member to participate in literature evangelism by sharing Christ-centred books with families, friends, neighbour, and communities across Malawi.l
